Privacy Policy

Personal OS is a private, single-user application operated by its owner for personal life-management. It is not a public, multi-tenant product — the only end-user is the account owner, and it is protected by an individual login and multi-factor authentication.

Data we access

Only what you explicitly connect or enter, and only to show it back to you or assist you within the app:

• Connected accounts you choose to link: Microsoft 365 (email and OneDrive files, read/limited-write) and bank accounts via Plaid (read-only balances and transactions).
• Information you enter yourself: e.g. prescriptions, notes, and other records you add.

How your data is used

Solely to display information and to power the assistant features you invoke. Your data is not sold, rented, or used for advertising. Bank access is read-only — no payments, transfers, or money movement are performed.

Third-party processors

Data is shared only with the services needed to fulfill your own requests:

• Anthropic (Claude): content you ask the assistant about is sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses.
• Plaid: connects your bank; you authenticate on your bank's own page and the app never sees your banking password.
• Microsoft: for email and file access you authorize via Microsoft's OAuth.
• Brave Search: web-search queries you trigger are sent to the Brave Search API.

No data is shared with any party beyond those above and only as needed to perform an action you requested.

Storage & security

• Data is stored on the owner's own private server.
• Access credentials and integration tokens are encrypted at rest.
• All traffic is encrypted in transit over TLS 1.2/1.3.
• Access requires login plus TOTP multi-factor authentication.
• All data access is recorded in a tamper-evident audit log.

Your control

You can disconnect any integration at any time from the Integrations page (which revokes the stored token), and you can delete stored records. Disconnecting stops all further access to that provider. See the Data Retention & Disposal Policy for what is kept and how it is deleted.
